The South African Pattern 83 Rucksack, also known as the "Grootsak," is a tough and spacious backpack originally made for the South African Defence Force in the 1980s. Built to handle harsh environments, it features a strong, water-resistant Cordura nylon construction in a distinct Nutria brown color. 

With a large main compartment and multiple external pockets, including four designed for 2-liter water bottles, it provides plenty of storage for extended outdoor use. Padded shoulder straps, a cushioned back panel, and an adjustable waist belt ensure comfort and balanced weight distribution, making it ideal for long treks.
